This guy will ask spammers to stop spamming you in exchange for links!

The beauty just came into my blog’s spam filter this morning:

Name: Anikrichard | E-mail: anlikivanna.80@mail.ru | URI: *spamlink* | IP: 72.9.235.218 | Date: September 5, 2007

hello , my name is Richard and I know you get a lot of spammy comments ,
I can help you with this problem . I know a lot of spammers and I will ask them not to post on your site. It will reduce the volume of spam by 30-50% .In return Id like to ask you to put a link to my site on the index page of your site. The link will be small and your visitors will hardly notice it , its just done for higher rankings in search engines. Contact me icq 454528835 or write me tedirectory@yahoo.com , i will give you my site url and you will give me yours if you are interested. thank you

This is one of the more appealing spam emails I’ve seen - in return for him doing you a favour, and asking the nasty spammers to stop, all he wants is a link to his site.

I don’t have the time myself, but someone should talk to this guy and get his URL to ‘add a link’, then send him off the the Google Webspam team. Would be fun to see what happens. If anyone wants to take it on, let me know - I would love to see how it turns out / how quickly the guy is banned.

Yeah… I got the exact same comment. I deleted it.

I found this post whilst searching on the internet for this guys email! What a cheek, he has left exactly the same message on my guestbook and I know it’s him that’s leaving all the spam messages on there.

I wouldn’t swap links with him if it’s the last thing I did. Guess I’ll keep hitting the delete button or maybe I’ll change things so all comments need to be moderated.

Spammers are such a pain in the neck!!! I can’t see how spam links generate enough backlinks to make a difference anyway as the search engines aren’t daft these days and I’m sure no traffic is gained from the links.

I get the odd ‘we should link to eachother because its going to help our search engine rankings’ email, but this really takes the biscuit.

haha… i will spam you on how to stop spam! that is a classic!

  5. Terry Reeves - Mr Unkie to you @ December 5th, 2007

Now that is a truly original and innovative spammer. Got to give him credit for effort and originality.

Imaginative but truely pathetic. You’re not alone - type his email into Google for some interesting results…

  7. Peter @ February 25th, 2008

    delete it!

Wow, that’s fantastic. I like the “I know someone” strategy, as opposed to the “my evil russian spammer colleague wants something in return for not annoying you (as much)” approach. There’s something mafiaesque about it, too, in the “these bad things that happen to you can stop for X fee” sense, whether it’s for money, links, or anything else, really. Audacity is the word, I think.

similar to the “do as i say not as i do” hypocrisy

If he does it its probably because a certain percentage of the people recieving the message actually do this! It’s like a moderate version of the nigerian 419 scams.

I am also victim of spamming emails, but the best practice in order to avoid spamming is dont check those mails and if you do check then do report them as a spam. Even i received some spamming emails with the subject of “Interested in purchasing paid Advertisement”.

I have already stopped swapping links with any unknown webmaster just because of spamming. Its better to adopt other ways of link building in order to keep your sites away from spamming.

This has got to be the best link begging tactic in the last couple of months. We must admit it is anice try :)

This mail must be the most lame and stupid spam email I have ever seen.

  15. Norhafidz @ May 2nd, 2008

“I know a lot of spammers”, I bet he’s one of them :P

Spam, Spam and Spams are what we are getting which generally destroy our precious time. All kind of stupid emails but this one is of new extremes of stupidity.

  17. Drew @ June 26th, 2009

that guy must be an authority in his area if he can do that:)

If your message is real then he might be in fact more if not all of your spamers.

It’s hard to believe that you can prove anything using just that icq and yahoo email adress. I am sure those are not his daily accounts.

It’s not right for you to ask others to take action against him on the excuse that “you don’t have time”. Do you using we really have time? I work more hours daily than most people here for sure, so it is kinda outplaced your masqued request.

By the way this was the funniest thing i have stumbled upon lately. And it is painful in some way seeing how some people come to such desperate measures like spamming just to increase their pr. It seems everybody wants a piece of the cake but don’t know how to get there. it’s so simple guys, really. Just use the force. ;)
